The Wall

In the beginning, there was an ugly wall. It was sad.

After a good scrubbing, the wall was painted with a color called sand.
It became a pretty wall. It was very happy.

Along came an artist and she said, "This wall has a secret.
Let me show it to you."

She began to work.

The wall was a little worried. "What's she doing to me?"
the wall wondered.

The artist said, "Have no fear, I have everything under control."

The wall warmed under the artist's touch.

The wall became more confident. "This isn't so bad."

Soon it became apparent something really was there.

Uh-oh!! A HOLE??? The wall was afraid...
